About ZabihaScan
A community tool for checking whether a product's ingredients are halal.
Our mission
Reading an ingredients label and knowing whether a product is halal, haram, or somewhere in between shouldn't require a chemistry degree. ZabihaScan exists to make that quick — scan a barcode, and see a clear verdict with the specific ingredients that drove it.
How it works
When you scan a barcode, ZabihaScan first checks its own database. If it's not there yet, it checks OpenFoodFacts for a published ingredients list and classifies it automatically. If neither has the product, you can contribute it yourself by photographing the front, back, and ingredients label — our OCR reads the text and runs it against a curated list of known halal, haram, and mashbooh (doubtful) ingredients.

An important disclaimer
ZabihaScan is a community project, not a religious certification body or a substitute for a qualified scholar's ruling. Verdicts are generated automatically from photo scans and a curated dataset that is a starting point, not a final word — always verify independently, especially for "Mashbooh" or "Unknown" results.
